Keep in mind that the Sword of the Necromancer uses magic to deal damage as it has the "Magical Damage" attribute. In the pause menu you can check your stats. This game uses low numbers for everything (first boss has like 12 HP at Normal difficulty), it's not like others where you deal 500 damage and things like that, but with the right combinations you can do greater damage, even oneshot bosses if you know how. Not sure what the devs thought about balance (most likely nothing), but everything feels super pointless or is hard just not suitable for a first play through? * And my god that annoying explosion sound on EVERY LITTLE HIT at full blast. Apparently you don't get any STR or Magic on lvl up until then, since I still do 1 damage. * You are hard stuck on level 6 until you beat the boss, since there is not enough XP to level to 7 in the first level. then again equipment seems pointless as well. They die instantly and lock you out of an equipment slot. * I have a gem with Fire/Light/Thunder/Ice and I still deal 1 damage to any enemy regardless of their element. * Halberd is super slow and still deals 1 damage. still deal 1 damage?! They are the most pointless thing in the game hands down. So what purpose do Charge attacks have, which have a huge animation lock, need to charge and. * Sword deals 1 damage per hit and you can chain 3 hits and then dash cancel.
